Childrens Dentistry

On average, a childs first visit to the dentist should be around their third birthday. This allows them to gain familiarity with our friendly dental staff and get a primary examination of their teeth and gums done. The dentist or dental hygienist may also gently clean the childs teeth with a topical fluoride as well as establish a proper oral hygiene routine that parents can do with them at home.

During your childs first visit, the dentist may also evaluate thumb sucking and other adverse habits, teach your child about cleaning teeth and gums and check to see if your child may need fluoride. We understand that children may experience some dental anxiety before their first visit which is why our specially trained staff works hard to provide a relaxing and child friendly environment for a positive dental experience.
